The city of Southfield, MI is a major suburb of Detroit and has a population of over 73,000 people. It is represented in the Michigan House of Representatives by Democrat Robert Wittenberg and in the Michigan Senate by Democrat Jeremy Moss. The two major political parties represented in Southfield are the Republican and Democratic parties. The city is overseen by an elected Mayor, Ken Siver, who is an independent.
