Adrian, MI is a city located in the southeastern corner of Michigan. It is part of Lenawee County and home to approximately 22,000 people. Politics in Adrian are run according to the traditional two-party system and include a Mayor, City Council and City Clerk among other elected positions. In recent years, local elections have seen Republican candidates dominating most races. The current Mayor of Adrian is Bob Bezotte who was elected in 2017 and is serving his second term. He has been joined by a council comprised largely of Republicans, including Jodi French, Alan Aupperlee, Brad Watson, Jordan Gribble and Robert Stempowski. These five individuals along with others make up the governing body of the city and oversee all aspects of life in Adrian from taxes to infrastructure improvements.
