Not a good place to live - 9/26/2011
Be very careful before choosing Sienna Plantation. They pretend to have very strict HOA rules, but this is not true. My friend purchased a $700,000 home and a year after they moved in they let the school put a flashing marquee. It is a nightmare. She cannot open her curtains or sit outside as the bright light flashes into her home and those on the street. Her house value is seriously impacted.
the HOA just supports the school. i would not pick this

Sienna Plantation - 9/26/2011
We purchased a home in Sienna Plantation four years ago. We picked it because it is very quiet and peaceful with very strict HOA rules. For the first two years all was wonderful. We had paid an extra $50,000 when we purchased our home for a golf course view.
18 montha ago the school put up a flashing school marquee. It flashes straight into our home. The whole side of the street has been impacted and our resale value has plummeted. The HOA refuse to do anything about the sign.
I wish to warn people about Sienna. It is not all it seems to be. The HOA is not to be trusted, they only help certain groups. They do not want to upset the PTO so the sign stays.
We pay a lot of money to live in a gated community. The other week two houses were broken into and the video cameras at the gate did not work.
I just want to warn people before they move to a place that is not as calm and quiet as it seems
thanks
