Politics and interest in particpating is slowly dy - 1/28/2010
I do not agree with the subject! Many older folks seem to like things like they are. Then complain that the younger generation doesn't seem to care. When one lives here. There is no welcome committee, schools do not teach civics in terms of what happens with township poliitics, then county politics, and finally "State Government" We are a commonwealth. It is sad to have to say that it is essentially hard to get to know the area and what it has to offer. Meetings are not announced, no agenda is readily availablle to the public. 3 Supervisors run the community or township. So there is a need for building public relations, personnel relations, doing things that would peak the interest of middle age and younger people. To have lived here for 2+ years and know so little is amazing. Input from new people can bring in new ideas and new thoughts on keeping this community alive and vibrant. You are right---no growth; One only has to wonder
