If you notice in the information provided by BestPlaces.net, the cost of Living is low here. This means the people in Derry will enjoy life more. You have more money to spend on the "extras" in life, like travel, vacations, more expensive cars, whatever makes you happy. This low cost of living is also optimal for young families. The lower cost of living allows for one parent to spend more time attending to children and work outside the home less. Studies have shown this is optimal for stable, thriving children. Derry has much to offer families from great pizza, to open spaces, to a school district voted "Best school to watch" for its strides in education and focus on the children. The community has a swimming pool which is half the price for a seasonal pass as other local community pools. Like to swim in winter - no problem!
