I like this neighborhood mostly, it has interesting architecture and great transportation to downtown.
There's a great occult book store on Milwaukee, a communist book store, a record store, and some cool clothes shops on Ashland. La Pasadita, Mariscos El Veneno, and Pizza Metro are great restaurants. Unfortunately Division Avenue from Damen to Ashland has become a stretch of uninspired high priced shops and bars.

Wicker Park is one of the best places to live in the city if you are young. Family owned bars, boutiques, restaurants, and other various businesses are the main feature of the area. There are virtually no corporations in sight. Charming rehabbed victorian houses are converted into 3 flats, so apartment living is taken to a completely different level.
