Graceland West - 7/6/2012
Graceland West is a neighborhood located in the northwest corner of Lakeview in Chicago. The "subdivision" was established in the early 1890's. Homes range from restored victorains, four squares and bungalows to modern and include about 1200 households (in single family homes, two to six flats, condos and some larger apartment buildings), Lake View High School, some businesses, restaurants and a neighborhood park. It has a walkable score ranging from 83 - 86; transportation, grocery and convenience stores and recreation are all nearby. The neighborhood association is over 30 years old and active with a variety of events including a neighborhood party led by a Pet Parade. Over 50 households typically participate in an annual Garden Walk. Great neighborhood filled with children. Residents ranging in age from newborns to 100.
