Half way between Sacramento, CA and Lake Tahoe, NV, is the best of all worlds. You can water ski in the morning, snow ski that afternoon. One hour away from Tahoe one way, Sacramento and all its culture the other. Winter days bright and clear - low humidity. Winter is short but just enough to remind us of the season. Sometimes enough snow to stick around for a few days. Spring seems short because weather can go from cool to hot in the same week.
